Lam Research expects global wafer-fabrication equipment spending to reach the mid-$150 billion range in 2026 and exceed $200 billion in 2027, according to a DigiTimes report on the company's outlook. Lam said DRAM is expected to lead the percentage growth next year. The forecast points to stronger investment in manufacturing equipment, but it is not a direct forecast for DRAM wafer starts, finished memory output or prices. Lam also forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $8.6 billion, with a margin of plus or minus $400 million.
