Rambus has announced a power-management IC intended for LPDDR6 SOCAMM2 memory modules aimed at AI servers. The company says the PMIC works with an SPD hub to handle module-level power conversion, sequencing, telemetry and fault protection. The announcement points to the supporting components required as server platforms adopt compact, low-power memory modules. It does not provide power-efficiency measurements, customer names or shipment timing, so the market effect cannot yet be quantified.
