Intel driver update adds media support to Crescent Island accelerator

Intel's 2026Q3 Media Driver lists Crescent Island, its Xe3P-based accelerator, as a supported platform with media-processing capability, according to TechPowerUp. The report also recalls memory configurations previously disclosed for the card: Intel's own design uses 160 GB of LPDDR5X, while ODM versions may be configured with as much as 480 GB. The driver update does not itself announce a new memory product or confirm shipment dates; the cited capacities describe earlier platform specifications.
