SP Industrial Adds TLC and pSLC eMMC Options for Embedded Systems

SP Industrial has introduced eMMC 5.1 products for compact industrial devices, with TLC options up to 128 GB and a higher-endurance pSLC variant. The release illustrates the different endurance trade-offs serving embedded flash demand.

SP Industrial has announced a new eMMC 5.1 series for embedded applications where board space, power use and storage reliability are important. The company lists TLC-based models in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB capacities, alongside a 16 GB pSLC model intended for write-intensive use. The announced TLC parts are rated for up to 3,000 program/erase cycles, while the pSLC option is rated for up to 30,000 cycles. The two approaches show how embedded-storage vendors segment NAND products between capacity-oriented and endurance-oriented workloads. The announcement does not include expected shipments or pricing, so it is not by itself a broad NAND supply indicator.
