TrendForce: AI server SSD demand drives 2Q26 NAND revenue jump

TrendForce says enterprise SSD demand from AI servers tightened NAND Flash supply in 2Q26, helping suppliers push through higher contract prices.

TrendForce's latest NAND Flash readout points to a sharper recovery in the storage market. According to TechPowerUp's report on the research, AI server demand remained steady in 2Q26, especially for enterprise SSDs, and helped create a NAND Flash supply shortage. That gave suppliers room to lift average selling prices in contract negotiations, with combined revenue for the top five publicly listed NAND Flash brands reported up 77% quarter over quarter to US$68.87 billion. The forward signal remains mixed but positive for supplier pricing. Smartphone and PC demand is expected to stay weak as higher bill-of-materials costs feed into device prices, but AI server demand for enterprise SSDs remains strong. At the same time, suppliers are directing more capital spending toward DRAM and HBM, limiting new NAND capacity. That combination supports continued NAND ASP strength into 3Q26, even if consumer end markets lag.
