Gigabyte Revives AM4 B450 Boards as Buyers Lean Back Toward DDR4

Gigabyte has quietly launched the B450M D3HP and B450M D3HP WIFI6E, two microATX motherboards based on AMD's long-running B450 chipset. Both boards use DDR4 memory, support up to 128GB, and are compatible with a wide span of Ryzen 3000 through Ryzen 5000 processors and APUs. The WIFI6E variant adds Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, while both models include two M.2 slots, SATA III ports, and basic expansion for budget systems. For RamTrend, the bigger signal is not the motherboard launch itself but the market behavior behind it. Vendors are again promoting or reviving older DDR4-capable platforms because current DDR5 pricing has made newer builds harder to justify for value buyers. That does not directly change DRAM supply, but it can keep part of mainstream PC demand anchored to DDR4 for longer and soften near-term migration pressure into DDR5.
