Samsung's reported HBM4 yield improvement is a direct AI memory signal. DigiTimes says the company has pushed sixth-generation HBM yield close to 80%, a sharp change from early production levels. Competition with SK hynix is now increasingly framed around usable output and delivery stability rather than only product roadmaps. For RamTrend, better yield can cut two ways. It may add future HBM4 supply and reduce some shortage pressure if Samsung can scale customer-qualified output. At the same time, stronger competition among leading suppliers can accelerate qualification cycles and capacity commitments for AI customers. The near-term price impact is therefore not simply bearish, but it does point to improving supply execution.
