Nanya's board approved a larger 2026 investment plan, raising the capex ceiling from NT$52 billion to NT$69.7 billion, according to the compact payload. The board also approved participation in bidding for a testing facility tied to backend packaging and test capacity. For RamTrend, this is a direct DRAM supply-side signal. Nanya is a memory supplier, and a faster Fab 5A build-out could increase future capacity, though the effect will depend on ramp timing and product mix. In the near term, the additional spending points more to medium-term supply planning than immediate price relief.
