AMD RX 9050 Split Highlights Entry-Level GDDR6 Tradeoffs

TechPowerUp reports that AMD introduced Radeon RX 9050 graphics cards in 4GB and 8GB versions. The compact payload says the 4GB model uses a 64-bit GDDR6 bus with 144GB/s of bandwidth, while the 8GB model uses a 128-bit bus with 288GB/s. The first partner design appears to come from ASRock. For RamTrend, the launch is a low-end graphics-memory data point rather than a market-wide pricing event. It shows vendors still using memory capacity and bus width to segment entry products sharply. The 4GB configuration keeps memory cost lower for OEM systems, while the 8GB card is more relevant to retail buyers who need more graphics memory headroom.
