Kioxia NX1 Brings Liquid-Cooling Option to E1.S Data-Center SSDs

StorageReview reports that Kioxia launched the NX1 Series for data-center systems. The drives use the E1.S form factor, support PCIe 5.0 NVMe, and span 1.92TB to 15.36TB. The line is positioned for read-intensive use at 1 drive write per day and can be configured for either air cooling or direct liquid cooling. For RamTrend, this is primarily a data-center storage technology update. The launch shows SSD vendors adapting packaging and thermals for denser servers, including GPU-enabled systems where storage sits near hot accelerator and networking hardware. The compact payload does not include pricing or shipment commitments, so the near-term price impact is limited.
