Price impact: 2Direction: upSource: Tom's Hardware
Tom's Hardware reports that AMD is preparing an EXPO Ultra Low Latency mode for DDR5 DIMMs. AMD's cited performance figures are a 13% gain versus standard DDR5 operation and a 4% gain versus existing EXPO profiles. For RamTrend, the pricing read-through is mostly product-mix related. Better automated tuning can support higher-value DDR5 kits and give memory brands another premium tier, but it does not by itself change DRAM wafer supply. The effect should be strongest in enthusiast and gaming channels.
